In a major announcement, the State Bank of India (SBI) has invited applications for the recruitment of Junior Associates (Customer Support & Sales) for the year 2025. The detailed notification, released under Advertisement No. CRPD/CR/2025-26/06, was published by the Central Recruitment & Promotion Department, Corporate Centre, Mumbai.
According to the official release, SBI aims to fill a total of 5,180 regular vacancies, along with several backlog vacancies, across its various circles and states. The bank has emphasized that candidates can apply for only one State/UT, and proficiency in the local language is mandatory.

Vacancy Details:

Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification (As on December 31, 2025):
- Candidates must have a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
- Final-year students may apply provisionally, provided they can submit proof of graduation by the specified date.
Age Limit (As on April 1, 2025):
- Minimum Age: 20 years
- Maximum Age: 28 years
- Candidates must be born between April 2, 1997 and April 1, 2005.
- Relaxation in upper age limit will be provided for reserved categories as per government norms.
Selection Process:
The recruitment process comprises three phases:
Phase I: Preliminary Examination (Online)
- English Language – 30 questions (20 mins)
- Numerical Ability – 35 questions (20 mins)
- Reasoning Ability – 35 questions (20 mins)
- Total: 100 marks | Duration: 1 hour | Negative Marking: 0.25 marks per wrong answer
Phase II: Main Examination (Online)
- General/Financial Awareness – 50 marks
- General English – 40 marks
- Quantitative Aptitude – 50 marks
- Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude – 60 marks
- Total: 200 marks | Duration: 2 hours 40 minutes
Phase III: Local Language Test
- Candidates who haven’t studied the local language in Class 10 or 12 will be required to clear this test.
Application Fee:
- General/OBC/EWS: ₹750
- SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen: Exempted
Salary and Benefits:
- Starting Basic Pay: ₹26,730/- (including two advance increments for graduates)
- Gross Monthly Salary: Approximately ₹46,000/- in metro cities
- Other benefits include DA, HRA, pension, medical benefits, and leave facilities under the Bank’s rules.
Additional Highlights:
- No Inter-State Transfers will be allowed for selected candidates.
- Six-month probation period, during which new recruits must complete mandatory training modules.
- Scribe assistance is allowed for eligible PwBD candidates as per guidelines.
- Online pre-exam training is available for eligible SC/ST/OBC/Ex-Servicemen/PwBD candidates.
