Introduction

The Maharashtra government approved the “Mukhyamantri – Mazi Ladki Bahin Yojana” on June 28, 2024. This scheme aims to enhance the economic independence, health, and nutrition of women in Maharashtra, thereby strengthening their decisive role in the family. Under this scheme, eligible women aged 21 to 65 in Maharashtra will receive a monthly financial benefit of ₹1,500 through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

Objective of the Scheme

The primary objective of the “Mukhyamantri – Mazi Ladki Bahin Yojana” is to improve the economic and social status of women in Maharashtra. The scheme focuses on enhancing their health and nutrition and providing financial support to ensure their well-being.

Eligibility Criteria

    • Yellow or orange ration card holders do not need to provide income proof.
    • White ration card holders or those without a ration card must provide income proof if the annual family income is up to ₹2.50 lakhs.
  4. Marital Status: Includes married, widowed, divorced, abandoned, and destitute women, as well as one unmarried woman per family.
  5. Identification: Must have an Aadhaar-linked bank account.

Benefits

Eligible women will receive ₹1,500 per month, amounting to ₹18,000 per year, directly into their Aadhaar-linked bank accounts. This financial support is aimed at improving their economic stability and quality of life.

  1. Online and Offline Application: Women can apply online or offline through Anganwadi workers, supervisors, Sethu Suvidha Kendras, Gram Sevaks, CRPs, ASHA workers, ward officers, CMMs, municipal Balwadi workers, or the Aaple Sarkar Seva Kendra.

Important Dates

  • Application Deadline: August 31, 2024. You can also submit the form in the month of September. The Deputy Chief Minister said that those who submit the form in the month of September will also get money deposited in their account
